Even in the ghetto hacks cost money. We have an almost endless supply of code that is free for use/inspiration/modification/loling, but we'd like to expand our horizons. There is an even larger list of projects we've talked about and would like to get to work on. Your contributions will go towards things like:
* Circuit design and implementation
* Equipment and tools to build ghetto hacks
* Hosting fees for the site(s) and subversion repos
* Booze to keep the lols/ghettocode flowing
* Proof of concepts to destroy^H^H^H^H^H^H^H responsibly disclose vulnerabilities in other appliances
* Completely destructive robots with chainsaws
* Possibly have us electrocuted during hardware hacking gone wrong.Whats in it for me?
Well, we're all coming out of pocket with these things. Unfortunately, there isn't much we can offer you in the meantime other than access to our subversion repositories, a ghettocode.net email address, documentation on our projects, diagrams of anything we design, photos of our progress as we work.
We also have some neat things already. In the future I plan to get off my ass and get things like the ghettocode.net vinyl plotter working. I'd love to ship off some stickers or iron on vinyl designs to you in exchange for your donation.
How can I donate?
Click the donate button to the right. If you want there will be a box asking us what you'd like us to use your donation for. You can stop by our projects page for some ideas about what you'd like to contribute to. We've got quite a few people on the ghettocode team working on whatever interests them most. If you donate to a specific person or project, we will fork over the money/equipment directly to them.
Important: we can't guarantee your money will be used entirely for what you've requested. There are monthly operating costs to hosting a website. If you donate 5 bucks for a piece of equipment that costs 200 and our hosting bill is due next week, guess what we'll pay first.
I don't trust you assholes. Can I buy something and ship it to you?
Hell yes you can! That's less ordering and shipping bullshit we have to go through! We have an amazon.com wish list, but it's not working like we thought it would. We'll get a wish list page up as soon as possible. Check out the things we want to hack/play with/need for existing projects here.
I'm broke but I still want to help!
It's all good! We still need support from the community. You can help us by participating. Interacting with ghettocode helps us keep the lols coming. Posting in our forums, commenting on pages/code, donating hardware, donating resources will help us keep ghettocode alive. We takes what we can gets. Here some things you can donate to help us:
